| | SANZAR has issued a notice of alleged misconduct against Springbok Coach Peter de Villiers following comments he made on Australia's Fox Sports Rugby Club programme on 21 July 2010.
SANZAR wrote to SA Rugby on 22 July in relation to the comments. Having discussed the matter with Mr de Villiers on his return to South Africa after last weekend's Tri Nations match against Australia, SA Rugby has now provided a response.
A SANZAR appointed Judicial Officer will conduct a hearing in the next week with details to be advised.
ABSA CURRIE CUP Two Absa Currie Cup matches are scheduled for tonight. Western Province will host the Pumas at Newlands while the Leopards and Griquas have a date in Potchefstroom. The Sharks will face the Cheetahs tomorrow. Kickoff in Bloemfontein is scheduled for three o'clock.
The Vodacom Blue Bulls have included three of their four Springboks who have been released for Absa Currie Cup rugby for tomorrows match against the Lions at Coca Cola Park.
Hooker Chiliboy Ralepelle, who is on the bench, is the only one of the four not too start with Francois Hougaard, Dewald Poegieter and Flip van der Merwe all included in the side announced on Wednesday.
Hougaard, who will have a start as scrumhalf for the Blue Bulls after being deployed on the wing in this season's Super 14 competition, replaces Ruan Snyman, lock Van der Merwe comes in place of Wilhelm Steenkamp and Dewald Potgieter replaces injured flank Deon Stegmann.
In a second change at lock, Juandre Kruger starts with Van der Merwe. Fudge Mabeta moves to the bench in what coach Frans Ludeke descried as a rotational move.

The Sharks have confirmed their side to meet the Cheetahs in the Absa Currie Cup tomorrow. Ryan Kankowski has been picked at number eight for the clash in Bloemfontein..while Jean Deysel is on the bench
Elton Jantjies, 19, will start his first Currie Cup match for the Lions when they play the Bulls at Ellis Park tomorrow.
Herkie Kruger has dropped out of the squad due to the SA U20 flyhalf's call-up, with Carlos Spencer promoted to the bench. The Kiwi player/coach will play his first Currie Cup match if used. Doppies la Grange returns from injury, while up front captain Franco van der Merwe is used at lock, with David Bulbring dropping to the bench.
Trevor Hall completes his comeback from Biarritz as he'll start on the blindside flank, while Ross Geldenhuys drops to the bench as Kevin Buys starts at tighthead.
Ruan Pienaar will leave the Sharks before the Currie Cup ends as his contract with Ulster starts on 1 September.
Pienaar will be allowed to play in the Springboks' last Tri-Nations fixture against the Wallabies on 5 September in Bloemfontein, which means he will miss Ulster's season opener against the Ospreys.
Pienaar, will join the club's other new South African recruits Johann Muller and Pedrie Wannenburg. |
